Exhibition pavilion on Freundschaftsinsel
The exhibition pavilion run by the association Brandenburgischer Kunstverein Potsdam e. V. is located in the middle of Freundschaftsinsel – an island park and important garden monument. Here, works of contemporary visual art are shown on an alternating basis, some of them by renowned international artists. The pavilion's glass cube is both an exhibition space and a production workshop, allowing passers-by and visitors to engage in direct dialogue with the artists. The association sees itself as a stage and experimental laboratory for young contemporary art. It also promotes artistic work in cooperation with schools and institutions for older people.
