Café "Poffertjes en Pannekoeken"
In Holland traditional Pannekoeken houses are part of the urban image. The café "Poffertjes en Pannekoeken" at the Dutch Quarter reminds of this tradition. The menu mentions Pannekoeken for all tastes, sweet and savoury. The topping varies from bacon and Gouda, sheep´s cheese and leaf spinach to vanilla ice cream and advocaat or simply powdered sugar. Traditionally the Pannekoeken are served with butter and Stroop, a special sugar beet syrup. Besides the café offers snacks as baked potatoes, toasts, salads and soups or sweet dishes as apple strudel and ice cream bowls. Among the hot and cold beverages the Dutch beer is very special. Guests are welcomed in the small and modestly furnished room and at six tables in front of the historical house.
