Over the past 15 years, the Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist's Golden Diskó Ship project has served as a vehicle with which she has traversed a variety of genres, navigating around all conventions. With Oval Sun Patch, Stroetges is now setting out into uncharted waters once again with her perhaps catchiest album to date. It is beat-driven, playful, atmospheric, and full of anthemic passages.
